John Turturro has joined the voice cast for the English-language dub of Finnish hit pic “Christmas Story.”
Todd Thaier, who cast the voices for “Arthur and the Invisibles,” is tasked with this pic, which is about how Santa became Santa.
“Christmas Story” opened in Finland late last year and took $2.6 million, making it the biggest domestic hit of the year.
The movie, helmed by Juha Wuolijoki for Snapper Films on a $3.7 million budget, had its international market premiere at the European Film Market in Berlin two weeks ago. Delphis Film sold the pic to distribs for Spain, France, Turkey, Greece, Mexico, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Scandinavia.
