'Bourne' makes noise with tech wins

'Ultimatum' takes three trophies at Oscars

Popular favorite "The Bourne Ultimatum" went three-for-three Sunday night with Oscar wins in tech catgeroies -- editing, sound mixing and sound editing.

Christopher Rouse won for editing and noted at the top of his acceptance that his father Russell Rouse had won an Oscar -- the screenplay trophy for "Pillow Talk."

"Forty-eight years ago, my father was privileged enough to receive an Oscar, and I'm deeply, deeply honored that you put me in his company tonight," Rouse said.

Scott Millan, David Parker and Kirk Francis won the mixing trophy and Karen Baker Landers and Per Hallberg won the editing award. It was the fourth Oscar for Millan (who won previously for "Ray," "Apollo 13" and "Galdiator") and the second for Parker (who won previously for "the English Patient") and for Halberg (who won for "Braveheart").

Millan dedicated his award to J. Paul Huntsman, who died Feb. 12 and was a member of the Acad's board of governors.
