Fate of “Women’s Murder Club” had been uncertain following the departure of showrunners Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain (Daily Variety, Feb. 13). Fellow exec producer Scott Gemmill also left the show.
Nathan, whose credits include “Law & Order,” will now oversee production on the show, allowing it to return.
Production will resume on the show in the next several weeks; “Women’s Murder Club” could be back on the air by April.
“There are no plans to revamp the series dramatically or shift the emphasis in any way,” 20th Century Fox TV said in a statement. “It remains a procedural focused on the four women leads who partner together to solve crimes.”
Craft and Fain created “Women’s Murder Club” based on the series of books by James Patterson. Gemmill, Craft and Fain remain under overall deals at 20th.
