TBS renews 'Frank TV'

Caliendo starrer to produce 8 more episodes

'Frank TV' features impersonations and sketches by Frank Caliendo.

TBS has picked up eight more segs of sketch comedy "Frank TV."

Skein, featuring comic Frank Caliendo playing a range of characters and doing celeb impersonations, bowed in November to solid ratings for its Tuesday 11 p.m. timeslot. The initial batch of "Frank TV" segs averaged about 2.1 million viewers.

"Frank TV," from TBS Prods., is written and exec produced by Matt Wickline and John Bowman. Barry Katz also serves as an exec producer.

TBS said "Frank TV" originals would return to the cabler's comedy-centric sked later this year.
