'Dark' sales brighten up Nordisk

Horror movies a hot seller at EFM

STOCKHOLM -- Finnish horror movie "Dark Floors," starring the members of Eurovision Song contest winner Lordi, was a hot seller at Berlin's European Film Market.

Nordisk Film Intl. Sales and Trust Film Sales, working together for the first time, sold the pic to Five Stars (Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay), Vision Films (Poland), Umut (Turkey), Lizzard Cinematrade (CIS) and Phars (Middle East).

Danish drama "Just Another Love Story" sold to Vision Films (Poland), Seven Group (Greece) and Red Envelope (U.S.). Pic presold to the U.K. (Revolver), India (Baba Digital), Brazil (Video Filmes/Gallions), CIS (Maywin Media) and Canada (Seville Pictures).

Animated kidpics were also hot. "A Tale of Two Mozzies" sold to Bow Line (Czeck and Slovak Republics), Most-media Film (CIS) and to Meida Intl. (Middle East).

The three "Amazon Jack" films sold to Five Stars (Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay) and Media Intl. (Middle East). "Amazon Jack 3" sold to Five Stars (Mexico) and Vox Film (CIS).

Icelandic thriller "Jar City" sold to Enter Mode (South Korea), Indies Film Rights (Benelux) and the Works (U.K.).
