Coen's 'Evening' goes Off Broadway

Play to bow in March at Bleecker Street

Ethan Coen's first legit outing, "Almost an Evening," will receive an Off Broadway transfer, in March opening at the Bleecker Street Theater.

Written by Coen and helmed by Neil Pepe, the collection of three short plays quickly sold out its monthlong run in the smallest venue at the Atlantic Theater Company, which produced the show in January.

Atlantic teams with commercial org Art Meets Commerce to move "Evening" to the 199-seat Bleecker Street.

Cast for the transfer has not yet been nailed down. Thesps in the Atlantic engagement included F. Murray Abraham, Mark Linn-Baker, Jonathan Cake and Elizabeth Marvel.

"Evening" will run March 20-June 1.
