FCC moves up Net hearing

Event to take place on Feb. 25

The Federal Communications Commission is moving up its planned hearing on Internet broadband management practices by one day.

Originally skedded for Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. ET, the hearing will now take place Feb. 25 at 11 a.m., the commission announced late Friday.

No reason was given for the change.

The venue remains the same -- Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Mass. The FCC intends to hear from expert witnesses who will give opinions on whether current network management practices on the Web warrant rules or regulations to protect so-called Net neutrality.
