The Biz serves as on online community for media professionals who can, among other things, search for jobs, pitch projects and exchange ideas.
It also will serve as a venue for job recruiters who will be able to find candidates based on specific interests, skills and levels of experience.
Users will be able to upload profiles, photos, portfolios and videos in order to connect with the community.
"The Biz will give our readers a unique new way to interact and forge relationships with their peers in the community," said Variety president and publisher Neil Stiles.
