Plot of the new pic is being kept under wraps but will focus on the Chun-Li character. Shooting will take place in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Vancouver.
Hyde Park and Capcom had originally wanted to release the pic to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the "Street Fighter" franchise; the first game bowed in arcades in 1987.
Game series has spawned several sequels, spinoffs and remakes. "Street Fighter IV" will hit arcades in Japan this summer and is expected to come out for home consoles later, possibly in conjunction with the film.
