Blunt and Furtado won the international male and female rock and pop artist categories, while Linkin Park beat out Bon Jovi, the Eagles, Snow Patrol and Sunrise Avenue for international rock and pop band with their latest album, "Minutes to Midnight."
50 Cent was named top international hip-hop and R&B artist and Brit star Mika took newcomer of the year kudos for his "Life in Cartoon Motion."
The Teutonic version of the Grammys also awarded prizes to local stars Herbert Groenemeyer, who was named German rock and pop artist of the year, and LaFee, who won the female category.
Die Fantastischen Vier took German rock and pop kudos, while Bushido won in the domestic hip-hop and R&B category.
Mark Medlock, who became last year's German idol on RTL's version, "Deutschland sucht den Superstar," won domestic newcomer.
Trumpeter Till Broenner, who performed at the Berlinale's closing ceremony on Saturday, won the year's jazz Echo.
Finnish metal band Nightwish was named international rock and alternative band.
The Echo Awards ceremony was a ratings hit for RTL, which broadcast the show on Friday and attracted nearly 4.5 million viewers, garnering a 16% market share. Last year only 2.9 million viewers tuned in for a 9.57% share.
