CBS calls for more 'Shark,' 'Rules'

Eye has asked 20th Century Fox TV to produce four more segs of "Shark," the James Woods drama that had been airing on Sunday nights. "Dexter" is set to take over its timeslot this weekend.
Also getting the OK to resume production is the Sony/CBS Par Network TV laffer "Rules of Engagement." Net is still working with producers on an exact episode count.
In addition, CBS is in talks with Warner Bros. Television about resuming production on "The New Adventures of Old Christine" for a couple of episodes. Net wants to give the show a shot behind several original episodes of "Two and a Half Men."
Meanwhile, over at Fox, net has decided to expand the "American Idol" results show to one hour, starting Wednesday, March 12. Net didn't say how many weeks it plans to keep the show at an hour.
Move isn't good news for new laffer "The Return of Jezebel James." It had been slated to get a preview airing behind "Idol" on March 12. Instead, it will now get a one-hour premiere on Friday, March 14, at 8 p.m.
