MONTREAL -- British producer Jon Plowman will receive the lifetime achievement award at the 29th Banff World Television Festival, it was announced Tuesday.

The honor will be presented at the Banff World Television Awards on June 9, the second day of the four-day event. Plowman recently ankled as head of comedy at BBC to return to producing.

Shows he has produced or exec produced include "Absolutely Fabulous," "The Office," "Little Britain," "The Vicar of Dibley" and "The League of Gentlemen."
