Deal includes a first option for theatrical distribution in the U.S.
“Thunder Captain” has now rolled out in 55 territories including Latin America (California Filmes), the Middle East (Front Row Intl.) and Korea (Cinema Valley).
The name still has an ungainly ring to it, but the Festival Paris Cinema recently underwent a successful makeover.
The broader, commercially focused Just for Laughs will spin off a smaller, two-day biz-oriented confab this year.
