Nod, presented by City of Hope's Music and Entertainment Industry Group, recognizes community members who devote their time and effort to helping those in need.
"I am deeply honored to serve as this year's Spirit of Life recipient to help recognize the innovative research conducted at City of Hope to find a cure for cancer," Morris said.
Morris will receive his award at a gala dinner this fall.
