Conkling will replace retiring Lifetime distribution chief Louise Henry Bryson, who announced her departure earlier this month. She'll head up all distribution for Lifetime TV, Lifetime Movie Network and the Lifetime Real Women channel.
Exec will also be charged with expanding platforms such as Lifetime VOD, Lifetime's HD channels, and Lifetime's Spanish-lingo VOD service.
Conkling, who starts March 1, reports to Lifetime Networks CEO Andrea Wong.
"Lori's strong relationships and vast experience in executing long term, multi-product deals and creating highly successful marketing campaigns with distribution partners will make her a valuable addition to the Lifetime team," Wong said.
Bryson won't depart Lifetime until May, which Wong said will allow for a "smooth transition."
Conkling had been VP, national accounts at Disney and ESPN Media Networks since 2004. While there, she handled deals for linear channels, VOD and pay-per-view, broadband and interactive applications. Whule there, she worked closely with Disney, ESPN, ABC and ABC News.
