Sony Classics is due to announce Monday that it has picked up North American rights for Oscar-nominated "12" by Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov, according to sources.
Mikhalkov's film is a remake of Sidney Lumet's 1957 drama "Twelve Angry Men" relocated to war-torn Chechnya. Sony Classics topper Michael Barker and other chief execs are due to arrive in Berlin today.
