Van Toffler, prexy of the MTV Networks Music & Logo Group, will not designate a successor; instead, Toffler will take over her duties.
In the memo, Toffler lauded Norman for "reinventing our big franchise events -- the Video Music Awards and the Movie Awards -- and ramping up new ways for us to partner with advertisers" when MTV made her president in May 2005.
From 2002-05, she took charge of MTV's VH1 sibling and became the "architect of its rebirth," according to Toffler.
Norman joined MTV in 1991 as a production manager and, over the course of her career leading up to prexy post, she worked in all areas of the network, developing an expertise in promotion and marketing.
