As previously reported, Variety editor-in-chief Peter Bart was feted with the international award. Bart, who taped a message for attendees, will collect the award at RAAM's annual conference April 29-May 1 at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts' London headquarters.
Indie distrib prize went to Entertainment for "The Golden Compass." Foreign-language award went to Icon for "Apocalyto."
Disney and Metrodome jointly won the best film marketing campaign for "Ratatouille" and "The Counterfeiters," respectively.
Indie distrib Park Circus nabbed the inaugural innovation award for its creation of a digital back catalog library.
In the exhib categories, Vue Entertainment won circuit of the year for posting the highest box office per screen.
Top venue prizes, decided by total B.O. receipts, went to Cineworld Glasgow for the U.K. and to Cineworld Dublin for Ireland.
Top indie cinema prizes went to Scott Cinemas, Barnstable (U.K.) and to Cineplex Cinema, Carrick-on-Shannon (Ireland).
Lifetime and industry achievement awards went to Richard Attenborough, Barry Jenkins (chairman of the Cinema Exhibitor's Assoc.), John Burns (sales director, Entertainment) and to Irish Tribune film critic Ciaran Carty.
Most categories are decided by 2007 box office performance. Other winners are chosen by the RAAM advisory board including Andrew Cripps (Paramount Pictures Intl.), Robert Mitchell (Disney), Trevor Green (Entertainment), Tim Richards (Vue), Neil Marshall (Warner Bros.), Steve Perrin (Rentrak), Trish Long (Disney, Ireland), Clare Binns (City Screen), David Hancock (Screen Digest) and RAAM's Tony Meehan and Rob Arthur.
