Michael Douglas, Amber Tamblyn and Jesse Metcalfe will star in Foresight Unlimited’s present-day remake of 1956 RKO classic “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.”
Pic is to be scripted and directed by Peter Hyams, with lensing skedded to start March 3. “Doubt” will be produced by Ted Hartley and Moshe Diamant and Foresight’s Mark Damon.
Story finds a journalist investigating a corrupt district attorney and setting himself up as a murder suspect, only for the DA to uncover the plot and incriminate the scribe.
“The combination of an outstanding cast and a visionary director will see (Fritz) Lang’s classic noir given a true 21st century spin for a new generation of cinema-goers,” Foresight topper Damon said.
