Project reps Granada America's first greenlight at Lifetime for project that's not a longform. Dating show follows 100 single men as they compete for a dream date with one woman.
Cat Deeley ("So You Think You Can Dance") will host "The Big Match," which is based on a format from exec producers Michael Agbabian and Dwight Smith ("Phenomenon").
Project also reps one of the first major greenlights for new Granada America prexy-CEO Paul Buccieri.
"Granada America has a longstanding relationship with Lifetime as a provider of movies for television, and we are delighted to be able to expand our partnership into this new genre," Buccieri said.
Granada Intl. is distributing "The Big Match" format globally; project is in development in the U.K. at ITV Prods.
Granada America's Jaffe/Braunstein Films arm has produced several Lifetime longforms through the years, including the 2007 entries "Custody" and "More of Me."
