Playwright Brett C. Leonard has won producer Daryl Roth’s Creative Spirit Award, the 12-year-old kudos given to legit scribes. Award comes with a $10,000 cash prize.

Leonard’s latest play, “Unconditional,” begins perfs Off Broadway this week. Scribe is a member of LAByrinth Theater Company, which produces “Unconditional” (and also produced prior outing “Guinea Pig Solo”).
