Cineart creates Dutch subsidiary

Unit to work under Twin Pics label

Belgian arthouse distributor Cineart has created a Dutch subsidiary to sell theatrical and DVD pics under the Twin Pics label.

It previously worked in partnership with A-Film in the Netherlands, but this arrangement unraveled when the Dutch company set up a Belgian subsid at the beginning of 2007.

Cineart’s first Benelux releases will be Cedric Klapisch’s “Paris,” Woody Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” Saul Dibb’s “The Duchess” and Lucia Puenzo’s “XXY.”

Wallie Polle, previously with Cinemien and A-Film, will head up Cineart’s Dutch operation, based in Hilversum.
