Picture Europe heads for Denmark

Picture Europe! launched last year with the aim of giving audiences in Europe an opportunity to see pics from neighboring countries.
European Film Promotion backs the screenings with coin from the EU Media Program and Volkswagen. The Copenhagen event also received financing from the Danish Film Institute and the Grand Theater.
After its Copenhagen stop, Picture Europe! will call at Madrid.
Four pics have been announced so far. They are “Special Escort” from Germany, a comedy about men starting an escort service; “Tricks” from Poland, about a boy who dreams about his father; “Out of Bounds” from Switzerland, about a boxer with a failed career; and Danish pic “The Art of Crying,” about a dysfunctional family. The remaining titles will be revealed later this week.
