Strand Releasing has acquired all U.S. rights to "Help Me Eros," a sexy drama by Taiwanese helmer Lee Kang-Sheng which appeared in competition at the Venice fest last fall. Company plans a Summer 2008 release.
Rights are repped by Hong Kong- and Amsterdam-based Fortissimo which also licensed Strand the reissue rights to 1992 gay film "For a Lost Soldier," by Roeland Kerbosch. Piuc will be remastered before release.
Fortissimo also inked a string of deals at Rotterdam on its Kim Longinotto-helmed documentary "Hold me tight, let me go." The prize-winning British documentary about a boarding school for dysfunctional kids was sold to Yle 2 (Finland), VRT (Belgium), IKON (Netherlands), NHK (Japan), Swedish Educational Channel (Sweden) and Noga (Israel).
