Howie ya' doin?

Mandel mans NBC Universal booth at NATPE

He's a machine, that Howie Mandel.

He hosts three episodes of NBC's "Deal or No Deal" in primetime a week. He still does 200-odd standup comedy dates a year. He's a semi-regular visitor to "Live With Regis and Kelly" and "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno." And he's excited about the prospect of adding 190 or so more episodes of a daily syndicated version of "Deal or No Deal" to his sked, starting this fall.

How excited? He spent most of the past week working the NBC Universal booth at NATPE, pressing the flesh of station managers, advertisers and various hangers-on -- greeting all of them a bright smile and special glint in his diamond-stud earring.

"I'm the luckiest guy in the world," he told anyone who would listen.
