"Dancing With the Stars" and "America's Funniest Home Videos" host Tom Bergeron is vying for honors as the busiest man in TV, signing on to host the Planet Green skein "Supper Club."

Show will follow Bergeron as he hosts a dinner party whose guests are celebs, politicians, authors, journos and scholars. The purpose: to discuss and debate eco-minded topics.

"It takes me back to my talkshow roots," Bergeron said. "I haven't done it in a while, and I missed it. I've also got two daughters, and you start thinking about what you're leaving your kids. It's a nice way for me to educate myself more about environmentally sound living."

Bergeron said he's "no Ed Begley Jr.," but he does drive a Prius.

Show reunites Bergeron with exec producer Andy Friendly. A Planet Green consultant and exec producer of "Supper Club," Friendly recruited Bergeron to host the late 1990s revival of "Hollywood Squares" and also tapped the host to head up the "Countdown to the Emmys" special in 2004.

"He's got tremendous range," Friendly said of Bergeron. "He's witty and funny and is also extremely bright. He can interview world leaders, politicians, business leaders, and this show will give him a chance to show those skills."

"Supper Club" will be shot at the eco-friendly Venice house of Kelly and Ron Meyers; show will also feature celebrity chefs cooking up eco-friendly meals. Weekly show commences production in March.

Friendly and Pam Burke are exec producers of "Supper Club" for Andy Friendly Prods. and Discovery Studios. Discovery is set to launch Planet Green in June.
