TFI signs VOD deal for 'Lost'

Viewers get episodes a day after U.S.

PARIS — France’s largest private network, TF1, has inked an exclusive deal with Disney-ABC Intl. Television to offer episodes from season four of “Lost” via VOD one day after their first broadcast in the U.S.

Starting Friday, TF1 will sell episodes in their original, subtitled versions for $2.95 each through the TF1 Vision website and its French IPTV partners.

TF1 Vision has also created a one-hour pay-per-view special “Past, Present and Future,” showing highlights of “Lost’s” first three seasons.

Starting in September, TF1 began a similar VOD agreement with NBC Universal for episodes from season two of “Heroes.” The deal attracted more than 50,000 paying viewers in its first three days.
