Beecroft buzzes to GreeneStreet

Exec to head foreign sales arm of film unit

GreeneStreet Films has tapped Amy Beecroft to head GreeneStreet Films International, the foreign sales arm of the indie finance and production company.

In her new post, she will oversee sales, marketing and distribution activities for GSFI, including the international sales of GreeneStreet's productions and the sales and acquisitions of third-party financed films.

She will be based at GreeneStreet's Los Angeles office.

GreeneStreet prexy John Penotti lauded Beecroft for "her experience and reputation in the international film community and with financial institutions." Her hiring signals that GSFI will be ramping up acquisitions.

Before GreeneStreet, Beecroft was director of international theatrical distribution at HBO, where she was charged with growing the overseas operation and worked closely with Picturehouse and HBO creative execs. Before HBO, she spent three years as veep of international theatrical distribution at First Look Studios.
