D.B. Woodside joins 'Objector'

Michael Murphy play opens March 18

D.B. Woodside ("24," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") will join two-time Tony winner John Cullum onstage in the Keen Company's "The Conscientious Objector," a new work by Michael Murphy that opens March 18.

Woodside will play Martin Luther King Jr. and Cullum will portray President Lyndon Johnson in the play, which tracks the role of the idealistic King in the antiwar movement during Vietnam.

Keen Company artistic director Carl Forsman will stage Murphy's historical drama. "Objector" is the second collaboration between Forsman, Cullum and Murphy; the three worked on Cullum's "SIN: A Cardinal Deposed" for the New Group in 2004.
