Under the deal, Reveille will get first-look rights in the U.S. market to Caracol's extensive roster of scripted and unscripted fare. That includes a hefty slate of telenovelas, such as "Pedro el escamoso" and "La guerra de las rosas."
Caracol also is behind the global phenom "La Ex," which is broadcast in 20 countries. Title revolves around a divorced woman who starts a new career and exacts revenge on her former husband.
"Our relationship with Caracol allows us to broaden our worldwide reach and develop and produce outstanding shows across many television genres," said Reveille managing director Howard Owens.
Reveille has been developing the Caracol format "New Rich/New Poor" at Fox. Project, which was brought to Reveille by Jay Weisleder, revolves around two babies who are switched at birth -- and wind up living very different lives than they were supposed to.
Caracol Television prexy Paulo Laserna said he took "great pride" in joining forces with Reveille.
"We see this a sign of how well Caracol's shows are being accepted by the U.S. market, which motivates us to continue to create new ideas with international appeal."
