Los Angeles-based exec will develop scripted and unscripted projects for the cabler. He reports to Comedy Central senior VP Jim Sharp.
Sharp called Landsman "an aggressive and passionate executive with an endless amount of ideas." Most recently, Landsman developed the pilot for "Lewis Black's Root of All Evil," which debuts as a series in March.
Landsman, most recently director of development and programming for Comedy Central, is in the middle of his second stint at the cabler. He first worked as production assistant in the net's New York office back in 1994; he returned a decade later to work in current programming.
In-between, exec worked for the college cable net Burly Bear and spent two years in development at USA Interactive.
