The opening-night party for David Mamet's new political farce "November," starring Nathan Lane, stuffed swanky Italian eatery Bond 45 to the rafters with press, actors and well-wishers.

Matthew Broderick, Jerry Seinfeld, Neil Simon and Mariska Hargitay were all in attendance but not Mamet, who couldn't fly in due to the nasty weather.

Lane's co-star Dylan Baker is on a Broadway roll -- his last Rialto play (Theresa Rebeck's "Mauritius") has been closed less than two months, but he's already back on the boards.

"It's like a runaway train," Baker said happily. "You have to grab a hold of it when you can and then just stick to it."

Baker, Lane and fellow thesp Laurie Metcalf all gave props to the playwright for crafting dialogue that flowed off the tips of their tongues. "With a Mamet play you find that he's done a lot of the work for you already," Lane said.
