Ten loses drama topper Masters

She will step down at the end of January

SYDNEY -- Network Ten head of drama Sue Masters will step down at the end of January.

Masters was the driving force behind hit series "Secret Life of Us" and crime skein "White Collar Blue" as well as made-for hits "The Society Murders" and "The Joanne Lees Story."

More recently, mini "Tripping Over" and short-lived series "The Surgeon" failed to draw the hoped for auds.

Masters is an award-winning scribe and producer.

Ten's program topper David Mott praised Masters' time at the web and said a replacement will be announced in a few weeks.
