'Soccer Mom' headed Off Broadway

Show is helmed by thesp-director Judith Ivey

"Secrets of a Soccer Mom" will be revealed next month Off Broadway, when the latest Gotham outing for scribe Kathleen Clark ("Southern Comforts") bows at the Snapple Theater Center.

Show, helmed by thesp-director Judith Ivey (who directed "Southern Comforts" at Primary Stages), will initially play an unorthodox sked as it runs in rep with "The Fantasticks," the tuner that will end its run at the Snapple venue Feb. 24.

Plot of "Soccer Moms" centers on three women who join their children in an annual mother-son soccer game that fuels their competitive natures.

The three-hander, which stars Nancy Ringham, Deborah Sonnenberg and Caralyn Kozlowski, begins previews Feb. 9 and opens March 20.
