"Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" showrunner Harry Friedman will be playing games for a few more years.

Sony Pictures Television has inked a new multiyear agreement with Friedman that will keep him as exec producer of the top-rated syndie quizzers. He's been on the Sony lot since 1995.

"Harry Friedman is an enthusiastic innovator, a wonderful collaborator and an extremely talented producer," said SPT prexy Steve Mosko, citing Friedman's "passion for television."

After a two-year stint as producer of "Wheel," Friedman added "Jeopardy!" to his resume in 1997. He was upped to exec producer of both shows in 1999.

Under Friedman's tenure, the two shows have maintained their status as the top-rated quizzers in syndication, a marketplace that also includes "Family Feud," "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and "Merv Griffin's Crosswords."

Friedman has won seven Emmys and scored 28 nominations. He began his career as a question writer on "Hollywood Squares," writing and producing more than 3,000 episodes over 10 years.
