COLOGNE -- RTL Group has appointed Bert Habets CEO of it Dutch company, RTL Nederlands, beginning Feb. 1. Habets, 37, joined the web in 1999 and has been its chief financial officer since 2001.
He succeeds Fons van Westerloo, 61, who will join the Dutch web's supervisory board, and will assume an advisory role within RTL Group. He became CEO of the group's Dutch operations in 2003. For eight years before that he had been responsible for the Dutch broadcasting operations at SBS.
