amfAR to honor Julian Schnabel

Gala to also fete Carine Roitfeld, Bobby Shriver

"The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" director Julian Schnabel will be among the honorees feted at the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) Gala on Jan. 31.

The 10th annual soiree will also honor Carine Roitfeld, editor-in-chief of French Vogue, and Bobby Shriver of the Product (RED) campaign, which financially supports the fight against AIDS in Africa.

The gala will be held at the midtown Cipriani and will feature a special performance by Barry Manilow.
