With 357 films and 527 sessions, including parallel sessions in seven Portuguese cities in addition to Oporto, this year's edition of Fantasporto promises to be the biggest ever. Fest will run through March 9.
The official Fantasy section will include Nicolai Lebedev's Russian sword-and-sorcery epic "Wolfhound," and Directors Week includes two Korean pics -- prison-cell love story "Breath" by Kim Ki-duk and futuristic romance "I'm a Cyborg, but That's OK" by Park Chan-wook.
Fantasporto, organized by Mario Dorminsky and Beatriz Pacheco Pereira, will include retrospectives on Danish cinema, Chilean surrealist director Alejandro Jodorowsky, Swedish actor Max von Sydow and Portuguese helmer Fernando Lopes.
