Kudo, which will be handed out at the 22nd annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards on Jan. 26, goes to individuals who have "made significant contributions to advancing the global art of filmmaking."
Previous recipients include Bening's husband Warren Beatty, Francis Ford Coppola, and Jodie Foster.
Awards gala will be held in the Hollywood and Highland Ballroom.
