Duo set for 'Vita and Virginia'

Chalfant, Elliott cast in Atkins' play

Drama Desk winner Kathleen Chalfant and Tony winner Patricia Elliott will co-star in Eileen Atkins’ play “Vita and Virginia” at the Zipper Factory Theater. The show, which will play for 12 Monday nights starting Feb. 11, is adapted by Atkins from correspondence between Virginia Woolf and her sometime lover Vita Sackville-West. Woolf’s fictionalized account of the affair figures in her novel “Orlando.”

Chalfant also appears this season in Sarah Ruhl’s “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” at Playwrights Horizons, co-starring with Mary Louise Parker. That play opens March 4.
