Mark Lazarus is out as president of the Turner Entertainment Group in a major reshuffling that gives three top Turner execs -- Steve Koonin, David Levy and Stuart Snyder -- new duties.

The three execs previously reported to Lazarus and will now report to Phil Kent, chairman and CEO of Turner Broadcasting. Kent said in a statement that "in the new structure I have decided upon, there was not a role of scale that Mark was interested in."

Koonin will continue in his title as president of Turner Entertainment Networks, riding herd over TBS, TNT, Turner Classic Movies and Tru TV (formerly Court TV). To his portfolio of programming, marketing, scheduling, strategy and operations, Koonin will add responsibility for advertising, sales and marketing of the networks, along with Peachtree TV, Turner's 3-month-old broadcast platform in Atlanta.

Levy, president of Turner Sports, gets the additional title of president of Turner Broadcasting Sales, which puts him in charge of sales across all of Turner's networks, including entertainment, animation and news.

Snyder keeps his title of president and COO of animation, young adults and kids media for Turner. Snyder oversees all of the functions of Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Adult Swim, GameTap and Super Deluxe and Turner's animation studios in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
