BT Vision grabs Disney-ABC pact

Deal delivers 650 episodes

LONDON — BT Vision, the fledgling U.K. IPTV service, has signed an on-demand deal with Disney-ABC Intl. Television for the first time.

It gives the upstart rights to re-runs of more than 650 episodes of shows such as “Lost” and “Desperate Housewives.”

The fare, which also includes “Ugly Betty,” “Scrubs,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Ghost Whisperer,” enables BT Vision subscribers to either rent the shows on a pay-per view basis or get unlimited access as part of their monthly subs.

BT Vision CEO Dan Marks said: “So many of these series, such as ‘Lost’ and ‘Desperate Housewives,’ continue to catch the imagination of viewers and media alike and now all these series will be available to BT Vision customers whenever they want to see them."
