Sony BMG is making its music available DRM-free on Amazon.com, making the Amazon digital music site the only online vendor that has all four majors supplying music without digital rights management software.

Launched in September, the Amazon MP3 library will now top 3.1 million songs from more than 270,000 artists.

Every song and album in the Amazon music download store is available exclusively in the MP3 format without digital rights management software and encoded at 256 Kbps.

Sony BMG became the fourth, and final, major to enter DRM-free waters earlier this week when it announced that it would offer downloads via cards that can be purchased at brick-and-mortar retailers. Its labels include Columbia, RCA, Arista, J and Epic.
