Freeman joins Turner Animation

Exec to focus on marketing, creative services

Turner Animation's young adults and kids unit has hired Brenda Freeman as chief marketing officer.

Freeman was previously senior VP of integrated marketing and promotions for Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids & Family Group. In her newly created job, Freeman, based in Atlanta, will focus on marketing and creative services for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang. She'll also work on their online and digital operations, including GameTap and Super Deluxe.

In her previous job, Freeman engineered the marketing campaigns for Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Noggin, the N, NickToons and Nick at Nite, along with the Nickelodeon magazines and the networks' digital operations.
