'Naked' premieres strong

Lifetime reality show brings in big audiences

'How To Look Good Naked'

A record number of young adults tuned into Friday's preem of Lifetime's 'How To Look Good Naked'

It's all in the title: "How To Look Good Naked" drew more young-adult viewers to Lifetime during its Friday primetime premiere Jan. 4 than to any other reality-show kickoff in the network's 24-year history.

Hosted by Carson Kressley ("Queer Eye for the Straight Guy"), "Naked" harvested 868,000 people 18 to 49, which was more than half of the total Lifetime viewership for the half-hour (1.6 million). Lifetime also chalked up 449,000 people 18 to 34, a solid number for a network that's trying to lower its average age and pull in younger women.

Although they didn't score as well as "Naked," the debut of two more reality series leading out of the Kressley program on Jan. 4 rolled up double-digit increases among women 18 to 34: "Matched in Manhattan" and two separate half-hours of "Top This Party."
