For now, "Zoey 101" continues in its normal Sunday timeslot, with new episodes running into the new year. But the cabler is said to be weighing its options and gathering more info on how to proceed long term with the show's run.
Shooting on "Zoey 101" wrapped in August, so Spears' pregnancy won't affect production on the show. But with so much tabloid attention already focused on the teen, it's unclear whether the story will cause enough of a distraction to force Nick into yanking or rescheduling the show.
Nickelodeon is not commenting at this point on whether it will continue to air the series.
In a statement, the channel said, "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."
Earlier this year, rival Disney Channel had its own talent mini-scandal to contend with, as nude photos of "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens popped up on the Internet. Hudgens ultimately apologized, and Disney sent out a statement of support; Hudgens is still set to star in the next "HSM" installment.
