French quartet vie for Prix Lumieres

'Rose,' 'Diving,' 'Grain,' 'Chambre' in race

PARIS — Four pics are running neck and neck in nominations for France’s 13th annual Prix Lumieres, which will be decided by a committee of more than 200 foreign journalists.

“La Vie en rose,” “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly,” “The Secret of the Grain” and “La Chambre des morts” earned three noms each.

All four compete for best pic and director. They are joined by “Persepolis” in the pic category and “The Witnesses” in the chase for the helming prize.

“A Girl Cut in Two,” “Darling,” “The Witnesses” and “What My Eyes Have Seen” took two noms each.
