Lambert joins Autonomous Films

Executive named VP of acquisitions

Dana Lambert has joined Autonomous Films and sister company After Dark Films as veep of acquisitions.

News comes after Laura Ivey was recently tapped chief operating officer of the companies.

Lambert, who segues from a 10-year stint at First Look Studios, will oversee all acquisitions for the company, particularly at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival. She will also be responsible for seeking out feature films for theatrical release as well as material to be financed and produced through the Autonomous and After Dark divisions.

Ivey joined the companies from her previous post as exec veep of business affairs and operations at Odd Lot Entertainment.

Autonomous Films is a new finance, production and distribution company that recently released festival circuit hit "Wristcutters: A Love Story." After Dark Films was founded in 2006 and acquires genre pictures for release.
