"Raw" is consistently one of the highest-rated regularly scheduled series in basic cable. Since the show returned to USA in October 2005 after five years on Spike TV, it has averaged 5.07-million total viewers, more than half of whom are people 18 to 49, Madison Avenue's favorite demo.
USA was the highest-rated ad-supported cable network for the third quarter in total primetime viewers and among persons 18 to 49, 18 to 34 and 25 to 54, and "Raw" was a bigger contributor than any other USA series.
As part of the contract extension, USA sister network NBC will continue schedule two special 90-minute latenight wrestling extravaganzas in the "Saturday Night Live" time period. Also continuing from WWE are the weekend USA series "A.M. Raw" and a Spanish-language version of "Raw" for Telemundo and mun2 cq, both owned by NBC Universal.
