Palm Springs honors Day-Lewis

'Juno,' 'Hairspray' also nab awards

Daniel Day-Lewis has been tapped to receive the Desert Palm Achievement award at the 19th annual Palm Springs Film Festival.

Day-Lewis draws the nod for his role in Paul Thomas Anderson's newest film, "There Will Be Blood."

Previously announced awards will go to films "Juno" and "Hairspray," as well as Sean Penn, Jerry Weintraub, Marion Cotillard, Emile Hirsch and Nikki Blonsky.

Fest runs Jan. 3-14.
